Pot Green
I made green beans w / bacon and the clay pot was broken during the night. This morning, the fat is solid. Is it broken?
It was 65 degrees in the house and I guess that was broken for 5 hours.
I would say yes. You really do not want to risk something. Usually, no meat or other potentially hazardous food that is within the temperature danger zone (40 – 135 ยบ F) for more than 4 hours should not be eaten. I would say that since there is no fat there, is gone. It may be OK, but the question is whether or not to take the risk.
