Cooking with stoneware bowls?

I have a recipe for individual pots. I do not have 4 small casserole dishes. Do you think will be OK for cooking in earthenware serving bowls (I do not know how to describe them, the bowls that come in a plate or bowl set)? I wanted really make pots individually instead of making a single pot.

I think it would be OK. Many recipes call for flat simply because it is more beautiful, and / or is easier to go out, etc. Make sure that you can use these bowls in the oven.
