what do i say when a complete stranger tells me how blue and beautiful my eyes are?

sometimes a complete stranger will come up to me and say “your eyes are very blue.” or “your eyes are very pretty.” i usually say thank you but i tend to be shy around new people so it sounds like im uncomfortable (which i am.) i don’t want to sound shy but its just the way it comes out. Thank you!
