How can I remove plaque from magnetic liters of my car without damaging the paint?

My sister left her magnetic chuck L on the hood of my car then sat in the sun for weeks. It is now very busy and I do not know how to remove it without risking tearing painting on the cover. You have any tips for me to try? Preferably those who have been proven safe for the painting lol. Thankyou!

As long as you do not drag the plate will not scratch off the paint. Just roll a towel tightly, place it next to the plaque on the narrow gauge end, use a rolled towel as a fulcrum, and the wooden stick is flat on a towel and placed under FIN plate.
